I have been studying okay. No matter how rebellious I am, I am not willing to go against my Sec 4 essence. I want to do very well for O's so that can point my middle finger triumphantly at those who thought I couldn't do it come Jan 10 2011 - release of O Levels results. But it's not just what you study, but HOW you study. So I've decided to come up with a guide to help the future Sec 4s prepare themselves for their oh-so-important year.
WHAT YOU NEED TO STUDY WELL AS A SEC 4. By Syu.
(In clockwise direction, click to enlarge)
1. A huge study table to hold the capacity of 8 subjects worth of books, notes, files and other useless stuff.
2. A high pile of undone homework, revision and books with words like 'O LEVELS' in bold on the cover.
3. Some friends, be it animate or inanimate, to accompany you for those long treacherous mugging hours. You might get bored and lonely. Also, they might be of help when you need someone to test you on your peribahasa/qualitative analysis/trigo formulas.
4. A huge cup of extra strong coffee to keep your mind awake. This can also be replaced by Redbull.
5. Secret stash of food. You'll definitely get hungry, believe me.
6. A big pencil case to store your many stationery and entry proof etc etc. Ensure there is enough green pens and correction tape refills. These two die out faster when you're Sec 4.
7. Your iPod to block out distracting noises. ie : your Mum nagging or creepy noises outside the window.
8. Your trusty calculator! Treat it with care and respect. If not, karma will bite you and your calculator will die in the middle of your exam paper.
9. Your personal file to store important homework, notes, love letters etc. Guard this with your life, especially from Cat High boys in the MRT and buses. You'll never know, they might jump at the opportunity to steal your SS notes.
10. Last but not least, this photo was taken at 3.30am in the morning. As a Sec 4, get ready to sacrifice sleep and brace screwed up sleeping patterns. My routine for he next one month : sleep at 9pm, wake up at 3am.
I hope I've been of help to all those potential O Level candidates. May peace be with you.
Anyway, I realise that not everyone can look good in bangs. Sometimes when I touch my fringe, I regret cutting bangs because I feel insecure and such. But since I've gotten compliments on my bangs hey, maybe I don't look
too bad in them. And besides, I quote my blog above : "Never regret anything, because at one point of time, it was exactly what you wanted." Fyeah. Besides, all those who criticized my bangs are those who would look like trannys with bangs anyway.
And besides, I'm having way too much fun with my bangs.
