So yesterday night, Natalie dragged me for her friend's drama production at ACSI. It was quite nice, to be honest. It felt like forever since I last talked to Percy so we talked and gossipped our asses off (yeah all this during the drama itself, but uhm whatever). Pretty fun night, but the drama was yet to come.
After the play ended, Natalie and I decided to grab some supper so we agreed to walk back to Buona Vista station from ACSI because we have great navigational skills like that. And that was when it happened...
It was a long, dark pathway. We were surrounded with nothing but trees, overhanging branches and leaves brushing against our arms. The time on Natalie's analog watch which she doesn't know how to read, showed 9.45pm. Silence engulfed us except for the occasional zoom of the cars on the road next to us. Suddenly Syu's gut feeling told her to check behind them, and she did.
"Omg Nat, there's a serial killer behind us!"
Natalie responded to that by quickening her pace. Syu followed suit, heartbeat racing a mile a minute. What if he has a parang? What if he kills us? What if he rapes us? Syu pushed away those frightening thoughts out of her mind and tried to think rationally. He's still a few metres behind us, we have time to make a getaway, Syu figured.
"Nat, turn around, quick check if the serial killer is still there, hurry Nat do it," Syu whispered into Natalie's ear.
"No, YOU turn around, I don't want to!"
"OMG NAT, THE SERIAL KILLER IS NOT THERE ANYMORE SHIT HOW -- "
But before Syu could finish her sentence, Natalie had already started running before her. We both ran and ran on the long pathway, which at that moment seemed like it had no end. We were completely certain that the killer was right behind us, his hot breath against the nape of our necks.
"Eh can we run on the road?" Natalie questioned. Syu nodded and hence we cut through the bushes and onto the road. However, we were mortified to know that the road was a double yellow line! Plus, the cars were zooming so close to us, a huge gust of wind would rape our hair every single time they drove past. We were almost certain that if the serial killer didn't get to us to chop us into tiny pieces, the cars would.
At that moment, Natalie hollered over all the traffic ruckus, "IS IT ILLEGAL TO RUN ON A DOUBLE-LINED ROAD? OH MY GOSH IT IS ILLEGAL AHHHHHHH!" and she started tearing down the road, faster than I have ever seen her run during training warm-ups, and what more she was in a skirt. Syu chased down the road after her, screaming things like, "OH MY GOD WE'RE JUVENILE DELINQUENTS, WE'RE GONNA SPEND O LEVELS IN JAIL!!" and "OH MY GOD RJ DOES NOT TAKE IN KIDS WITH CRIMINAL RECORDS!!" and after what seemed like 100m, we finally reached the end of the road, embracing and taking relief in the bright lights of the traffic junction.
"Okay, we're safe now, " assured Syu.
But out of the corner of her eye, Syu spotted horror. It was the serial killer!!!! :O :O But something was amiss..
Natalie resolved the mystery,
"Eh, the serial killer's a bangla, no wonder cannot see la!"
THE END.
Okay, we so fail :'( You know we had to pretend we're drunk so that people won't think we're mad. Besides, it was Saturday night, it should be self-explanatory right.
This was before all the madness happened.
Welcome to our yacht!
"Walao Nat you don't drama la, you want drama you go on stage!"
I believe that last night was an omen, despite me wanting it to happen.
Oh wow, it's August already? FML.
